Kapı Yayınları Wharf Gazino

Product description

"my ""my joy"", with its dockside gazinosu, takes us back to the istanbul of the 1960s before and after, capturing the spirit of the era, its excitement and passions not with a nostalgic air, but with a narrative that always opens itself to new readings." It tells the story of a song we haven't heard in a while, a movie we watched as children and its actors, or the unique fashion dances of the period so delicately that we can't help but join the enthusiasm between the lines. Sometimes it invites us to witness the lives of the actors, whether it is with the radio that is always standing in a corner of all our houses, or with a song in the nihavent monument that is sung on stage, or sometimes with a movie scene that is in all our minds

Savruk was a beach guard who was left behind from our beautiful days, i̇skele gazi station

It means that the days we spent wandering around her dance floor, the weddings where children were picking flowers from garlands, were all pieces of temporary life put on stage. We all stood on that stage, played our role, sang our song

Then there are separations... (from the newsletter) edit: süleyman sertkaya cover: füsun turcan elmasoğu
