Product description

The three-storey bosphorus bridge, the new docks built from end to end, the large gardens served by animals, artificial mountains, high-rise buildings with wide balconies on their floors, factories, trains running under the ground and above the sea, everything is overseen by giant mirrors 24.

Istanbul of the century.

Molla davudzade mustafa nâzim erzurumî's narrative, published for the first time in 1913, about yasami, of which almost nothing is known, is one of the earliest and most interesting examples of the utopian genre in turkish literature, with its title "terakki and medeniyet-i islamiyeyi rüyada."

While hopelessly immersed in the social upheaval and pessimism brought about by the balkan wars, narrator nazim dreams of traveling to istanbul of the year 400, accompanied by his great-grandfather. he witnesses how a progressive civilization, capable of matching the western civilization in the future, can be achieved by learning from the past mistakes of the ottoman empire and establishing an islamic order. At the beginning of the book &quot

The purpose and aim of this dream is to ensure the safety, progress, and prosperity of the nation and its people. &quot

The writer thus presents his own utopian liberation scenario with the intention of familiarizing us with examples of political dreams in ottoman literature that reflect modernization reflexes. We hope that this work will be an important resource not only for utopia enthusiasts and literature readers, but also for those interested in the history of ottoman political thought.
