the longer the hometown is visited, the more splendidly it shines.

ah! Whenever they step foot in their homeland, the spell is suddenly broken

the dream of reunion they have built up over the years, suddenly turns into ashes, just like in 'the donkey tale from ashes'.

in mehmet binboğa's third novel, “a long cry,” the honorable struggle of a sharp-eyed anatolian woman living in a forgotten village in the east, against ignorance and poverty, to send her children to study in a big city, is told.

In the novel “a long cry”, like a film, each frame of which is watched with bated breath, a very moving and exciting novel

From the relationship of the september 12 government with the peasants, to the oblivion of the east, to the unspeakable pains of the alevi society, to the friendship of human warmth, and to the heartbreaking sadness of people leaving their lands where they were born and raised for various reasons and going into a poisonous exile, the author has played a wide range of pens. Binboğa, who manages to bring dozens of topics together in the same pot with an original and solid fiction and dissolve them, brings together his poetic turkish with a masterful novel that handles every detail with the melodic fluency of his language, making his reader discover it again. "a ""long cry"" is a book that every qualified reader should have in their library, it is a must read."
