Kabalcı Yayınevi One Lale Devri Metni Nüzhetül Uşşak

Product description

Nüzhetü'l-uşşâk, which enderunlu küçük hâfiz wrote shortly before patrona halil i̇syanı, although its name evokes the climate of pleasure and indulgence of the lâle devri, is not directly related to this atmosphere in terms of content. However, it cannot be said that the work has a quasi-religious structure, except for some minor submissions.

One of the noteworthy aspects of nüzhetü’l-uşşâk, who discusses the source and nature of worldly love from a fiqh and literary perspective and addresses it within the framework of some suggestions in classical logic, is that it deals with the polemic of “is love more in the lover or in the master?” based on ancient roots.

in order to prove that there is more in the lover of little memory, the fetva of sheikhulislam ibn kemale, in particular, was included.

ali uses various arguments from figures such as mevlânâ celâleddîn-i rûmî, sâbit and sa'dî. However, what truly makes nüzhetü’l-uşşâk interesting is not this aspect, but rather its "patchwork" structure in terms of fiction and style. The author copies many words and phrases from sa'âdetnâme of camî-yi mısrî, münşeât of lâmi'î çelebi, hamse of nev'îzâde atâyî, münşeât of nâbî, and hadîkatü of fuzûlî's su'adâ, and creates his work by giving them a new context. The structure of nüzhetü'lu-uşşâk's forty-eight poems, which prompts to reconsider the boundaries of ottoman literary production in terms of conciseness, is discussed in this book at points such as originality, imitation, mockery, and skill display.
