Phorax is a highly effective filter medium used to break down phosphates in aquariums.

This reduces algae growth and can improve plant growth.

Phosphate regularly enters aquariums through fish food and is unlikely to be broken down naturally.

Plants need only tiny quantities of phosphate for natural growth (freshwater: 0.05 mg/l, saltwater: 0.01 mg/l).

Excess phosphate can trigger algae development.

Product features: Phorax binds dissolved phosphate by creating a water-insoluble aluminum phosphate and removing it from the water.

Reduces phosphate and algae bacteria growth, supporting fish and plant health.

Suitable for use in freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
