An unexpected news received from someone whose name is not remembered

An unexpected departure

The reproaches of an ex-lover he meets during the journey

The strangeness realized after the first conversations

The mysterious telegrams, whose sender is known but not understood, bring two ex-lovers together for a funeral ceremony.

Rasim Özdenören seems to have shaped the events in a mysterious atmosphere in these stories he has collected under the title of Unexpected Departure. That is why the reader may have the feeling that the categories of time and space in his mind are reshaped as he wanders through the building of the stories.

With the fictionalization technique in the stories, the author seems to want to help the reader to overcome his habits of dreaming and thinking. It seems that the author does not want his readers to be trapped in a static pattern of common sensation

he wants to prove the reality of the sense of "beyond".

These are stories that make us feel the need to connect life with death, physics with metaphysics, the everyday with the intellectual and finally the mundane with the sacred.
