Author: Hasan Aycın

At first glance, Aycın tells us Keloğlan tales in Esrârnâme

But neither the fairy tale he writes nor the Keloğlan he tells is the Keloğlan we know.

He tells us about human beings with his fairy tale language and fiction

With a pure and simple Muslim point of view, he tells us about the inner conflicts, deceptions, passions and searches of human beings

He interprets the world and life.

More importantly, while doing so, he successfully demonstrates how a traditional narrative form can be transformed, how it can be reproduced, and how intertwined layers of meaning can be created by utilizing the symbolic values of certain traditional and cultural elements. To put it briefly, Esrârnâme is a contemporary novel written by making use of traditional fairy tale narrative forms and methods

it is a new original attempt after a long time.

It would not be an excessive expectation to hope that Aycın's attempt will receive the attention it deserves and that Esrârnâme will not be left alone like Muhayyelât and A'mâk-ı Hayâl.
