Product description

Octavia e. butler's magnum opus, *parable of the neighboring*, the work of one of science fiction's greatest masters, is now available in turkish for the first time. "octavia e. butler is a writer who will be remembered for a long time. If it's close, it's a rare, magical artifact." - harlan ellison "butler is one of the great literary artists of the twentieth century." Junot diaz "close is the best proof of what can be done in science fiction literature." In 1976, walter mosley was dreaming of becoming a writer. In 1815, he was supposed to be a slave. Not only with the strength of her pen, but also with her dissenting stance, her reaction against hierarchy, racism and gender inequality, octavia e. was the first female black science fiction writer in history, who was one of the most important writers of her period. Butler is a landmark in both science fiction and african american literature. Yakın, which holds a very important place not only within its genre, but also among modern literature readers and even in academia, is a genre-crossing novel where time travel, fantasy, and historical fiction intertwine. On her 26th birthday, dana and her husband kevin were trying to settle into their new home, but at that moment, dana started feeling nauseous and dizzy. When the dizziness passed, he found himself in a clearing, nestled beside a river. Little did he know, the first of many journeys and life-threatening adventures began when he saved the little rufus from drowning in that very river. On his journey, which he involuntarily made to maryland, where the hardest times of slavery took place, he would learn much more about himself, about rufus, about the blood debt, about slavery, every time.
