İthaki Yayınları Vassaf Bey

Product description

“is it so desirable for me to marry a young man? We'll learn to live together, but with what struggles... where will we find that mature young man? Come on, we found it, will it be worth the money? Alright, so now that we've got the headspace sorted, we're going to spend the rest of our lives building and settling into a home. "neither sorrow nor tears..."" with his simple language and style, memduh şevket esendal, one of the leading names of the early republic literature, is put in search of a new type of human in his novel, ""vassaf bey"", which took place in the 1930s." The analysis of a female character begins earlier, serving as an example for the new people of the new state. Perihan, who had lost hope in the help of her friends and relatives who were afraid of staying at home, and had lost hope in the help of her father's friends, goes after mr. vassaf. However, he cannot get a positive answer from the older mr. vassaf, to whom he conveyed this desire. After a period spent immersed in the wedding adventures of their peers, vassaf bey's death announcement will send his life on an unexpected path, dragging perihan from ankara to istanbul, into the hazy, unknown world of trading houses, law firms, and mansions. Although the novel of mr. vassaf, which was published after the death of memduh şevket esendal, was unfinished, it is a remarkable work in our writing with its narrative that listens to the new generation of the young republic. We present the text along with esenadal's research on the first sections of the novel.
