İthaki Yayınları The Mythology of Art What Art Tells: From Cave Walls to the End of Antiquity

Product description

Myths contain the psychology of the people of antiquity, their concerns about identity, world predicaments and, of course, their beliefs along with many others.

they are sacred words that open the door to the existence of different worlds and infinite life beyond the world in which people live.

if art is shaped in language, it comes from a psychological need to have this pharic world embodied with all its figures

the concretization of the invisible, the one that wants to be visible, the one that wants to see for the eye.

both arise from the fact that the lived and the thought life do not overlap. In this book, we will sometimes travel from art to mitosis with movement, and sometimes from mitosis to art with movement.

sometimes we will witness how a picture is given meaning, and sometimes how a meaning can be pictured.
