İthaki Yayınları Table Flag Chair Serhat Çelikel

Product description

Serhat çelikel, whose books named color time in 2009, window in 2012, and land of the blind under the snows in 2016 were published, is facing the reader with his second novel. a story of friendship with a table, a flag, and a chair. The protagonist and narrator of the novel, burak's housemates ece, cemil, and jasmine, who were later included in both their homes and among themselves, their constant state of self-discovery and everything on earth moving on, form the fundamental stones of this story. "the ""evaporativeness"" shared throughout the novel represents a sentence that burak repeats at intervals: ""i don't harm anyone, i guess i don't have a purpose in this world." While çelikel is telling the small events that occur in the lives of four university students season by season, he first includes these unusual events that disrupt the usual flow, and then incorporates them into the process of the novel's existence. These stops are proof that the novel is more than a story of friendship. "burak expected them to imitate him, but when even yasemin, who had joined them, tied her hair on top, they were made fun of and laughed at, and then they moved on to other absurdities. If he were to imitate himself, what kind of move would it be?he couldn't think of anything. He thought about a gesture, a word, an expression on his face that he used all the time, but he couldn't come up with anything like that. Sometimes, he thought that no matter how the other person spoke or acted, he immediately followed suit, saying things like the other person and making similar gestures, but he didn't mind it. There must have been something that distinguished burak from the others, an interesting side, something unique to him. He thought, 'no.' 'i have no purpose in this life either.'
