Hamur dili: turkish yusuf kâmil şener is a divan literature expert, a turkologist and an academic. şener büyüktürk is the name he wanted to use in his newspaper articles but couldn't use for a long time because his boss found it too ambitious.

yusuf uses this nickname for the first time in his novelayşe and mihailaynı newspaper while being insulted. Just like its title, this historical novel, which is quite sensational in terms of the subject it addresses, is based on the true story of a woman who was stoned to death in istanbul in 1680, on the pretext of adultery. Yusuf, a married man, begins to have an affair with his student aleko during the writing process of this novel. The atmosphere that both the novel and this relationship will drag him into will be as turbulent and cunning as the social climate of at least his hometown. In his first novel, i̇hsan çankaya takes the 1950s istanbul in şener büyüktürk's sergüzeşti beyond being just a backdrop for this forbidden relationship, introducing historical figures through characters. The novel, which promises both the opportunity to witness the social events of the period and a qualified literary reading, has managed to balance its heavy content with the author's humorous skill, making it a bold work.
