"the most important satire written about the dark side of modern history." –malcolm bradbury retro hugo best novella award / prometheus honor scroll award "all animals are equal." "but some animals are more equal." george orwell, a name that left its mark on the 20th century, and even changed our era, through his books and essays, as well as his personality, ideology, and actions. Although orwell's skills are not limited to his books, animal farm is one of the best examples of the political satire tradition and dystopia in our age. A fictional world. An arrangement that is anything but equal. Greedy, upright-headed, ambitious people on one side. On the other hand, there are animals oppressed by the mean-spirited management that is out of touch with people. A farm where the battle between two species sparks. This is an animal society in the farm, which aims to raise all animals to escape the bullying of humans by developing their consciousness and self-cultivation. A great power war. The animals at konak farm, after escaping the clutches of their owner mr. jones, envisioned a future built on freedom and equality. While mr. jones was devising plans to reclaim his farm, the animals, led by the pigs snowball and napoleon, had already begun to rapidly elevate the farm's order to a "humanized" level. Although the animals followed the pig's lead, the order they established was democratic. And in the end, all animals were equal. But did it really? Pigs, which start to take the role of humans, will take power day by day, and animals will see that authority does not change, even if its owners change. Animal farm, the end of tyranny is not a cycle. With orwell's prefaces from 1945 and 1947. With illustrations by burak şentürk.
