İthaki Yayınları Edebiyat Portre Manifesto

Product description

To consider literature as only poetry, stories and novels would be to negate its scientific aspect, to ignore its relationship with other sciences and disciplines, and most importantly, to fail to capture the impact of literature on human beings.

Especially its relationship with fields such as philosophy, psychology, history, sociology

understanding the aspects that touch people such as journalism, cinema, painting and music reminds us of the vital importance of literature. When we consider literature as a science, we see that it encompasses and examines many subjects such as literary sociology, literary theories, comparative literature, literary criticism.Of course, the work is at the center of literature

however, the work alone may not be enough to understand the work

sometimes we may need to focus on many things such as the life of the author, sometimes the period of the work, the movements it influenced, the events of the period, the characteristics of the genre. What is needed at this point are portraits from Ömer Seyfettin to Ahmet Kutsi Tecer, from Mustafa Şekip Tunç to Cahit Zarifoğlu, from Yunus Emre to Necip Fazıl Kısakürek

articles examining genres from letters to fables, from travel to memoirs

articles on themes from football to death, from mothers to grandfathers, from manifestos to art criticism, everything you need to look at to understand and get to know literature is in Literature Portrait Manifesto.
