İthaki Yayınları Capitalism and the Economics of Capitalism

Product description

This book, which examines the history of capitalism and economy from the mid-18th to the 21st century, provides a critical analysis of the dynamic, interactive relationship between capitalism and economic theory. In this context, studies that have been carried out for many years in both fields are examined within the flow of topics, it is demonstrated that the capitalists within the dominant economic current are capitalists or in other words, they are shown to be ideologists who consecrate water.

Theses of eminent economists belonging to or opposing the dominant school of economics are also summarized in the study: adam smith, thomas malthus, jeremy bentham, john stuart mill, karl marx, thorstein veblen, rosa luxemburg, john maynard keynes, paul samuelson, milton friedman and eric hobsbawm.

This work calls out to the society formed by people who feel they are socially and economically disadvantaged, who are not satisfied with meeting the indirect theses of their partners in politics with economists who are dominant in the mainstream, who study whether they are academic or not, and who are sensitive people.

The book aims to erase the influence of dangerous theses that govern today's economic policy, considering the relevant community, and to decipher that capitalism is more destructive than constructive despite the changes it has undergone over the years, and then it presents a bundle of feasible, desirable options.
