İthaki Yayınları Beren Ile Luthien - J. R. R. Tolkien

Product description

Beren and lúthien, the last work brought to the literary world by tolkien, calls its readers back to the fairytale atmosphere of middle earth. The work, compiled by christopher tolkien, the son of john ronald reuel tolkien, the creator of the middle earth universe, constitutes the second story that the author described as the three great tales of the ancient days. Beren and lúthien, who met their readers in august 2019, are the subject of an epic love story. The story created in the last years of j. r. r. tolkien's life is masterfully compiled by his son, christopher tolkien. Beren and lúthien have a somewhat disjointed feel, likely due to the author's creation of alternative versions. Therefore, the book, with the notes of his son christopher tolkien, deals with the fantasy world of j. r. r. tolkien from a broad perspective. While reading beren and lúthien, you will have the opportunity to examine the fictional planes of middle earth as well as a lyrical epic. Don't be late to witness the great love of ancient times! Beren and lúthien, described as the last work of the tolkien family in the foreword, adds a new breath to middle earth after the children of hurin. The book transports readers 6,500 years back to the time described in the lord of the rings. Beren and lúthien, whose story of love spans the divide between a man and an elf, form the very foundation of the silmarillion narrative. However, unlike the first story of the ancient days, the children of hurin, the book tells the story before the silmarillion. Furthermore, the love between beren and lúthien also inspired the story of aragorn and arwen in the lord of the rings series. In the book, beren is depicted as a man fighting alone after his father and relatives were killed by morgoth's soldiers. An enemy army is being sent to beren, who went after the orcs to take revenge and killed their leader. Beren is forced to flee to the land of the elves to escape this situation. Here, he sees lúthien, the daughter of king thingol, and falls in love with her at first sight. Afterwards, he embarks on an adventure to overcome all the difficulties in his way to achieve it.
