Product description

The children of pal street is a children's book written by the hungarian writer ferenc molnar, first published in 1906. The book tells the story of the struggle of a group of poor children in budapest, the capital of hungary, which was rapidly developing at the beginning of the 20th century, trying to protect their playgrounds from wealthy children. Pal street kids is a children's group where friendship, friendship, unity, but also discipline, solemnity and coolness reign. This group has its own set of rules and presidents. In addition, except for one person, each member has a rank, and those with lower ranks must obey the orders of those with superior ranks. Members who do not comply with these rules are fined and then punished. The book has become the most famous hungarian novel around the world. Books translated into many languages are required to be read in schools in some countries (such as the united kingdom and italy). The character of nemecsek has joined the ranks of immortal heroes in children's literature, such as oliver twist or tom sawyer. In 2006, 11-year-old hungarian student dani bodnar mentioned in his school assignment from the book: “i felt so bad. I was thinking why we had to fight for the plot. Because that was our country, our playground... such a place that even if we were in fire, we had to fight for it. Because the land was our homeland according to us.”
