Product description

Hüseyin rahmi gürpınar

tells the social, ceremonial lives of the istanbul people, their family poverty, superstitions, and the crises the turkish society of the era was going through, with a humorous humor. Despite being the contemporary of the sufis, he maintains a distinct artistic vision. Most of the heroes in his novels are lively, colorful human beings and life scenes of istanbul at the end of the 19th century. There is no anatolia in his works. Humor, as much as it is hilarious, is a necessary tool for reflecting and questioning our ridiculous aspects. Hüseyin rahmi skillfully makes the chosen types speak in accordance with their levels and describes the events in their ridiculous and pathetic aspects. It has a strong observation power. He makes 'art for society' with a realistic, naturalist perspective.
