Product description
"to strip the masks of liars from their faces, to reveal the ugliness and nothingness hidden under magnificent displays, was the greatest entertainment of the nightingale."
"the touching story of the young girl soul of çalıkuşu feride, her endless joy, and her determination to face all kinds of difficulties with a smile carries a strong objection to the classic narrative about love and gender relations."
The work of reşat nuri güntekin, which he wrote a century ago but has not lost its value even today, offers a literary flavor that has been passed down from generation to generation with its simplicity in style and strength, as well as its skill in depicting society and anatolian people. While witnessing that feride's king has a power that can overcome the difficulties of love, it is also possible to take a vivid look at the backwardness in anatolia, the flaws of the bureaucratic structure, and the closed lifestyle in the countryside. With the expression of yakup kadri karaosmanoğlu, güntekin has created the first ideal hero of turkish literature in çakıllık and revealed our first character novel. From here, karaosmanoğlu also stated that reşat nuri was our first idealist writer. While still alive, reşat nuri güntekin, who made his name among the great masters of turkish literature, has a distinguished place among the immortal works of our literature with his most famous novel, the night owl.
