Product description

Letter to father book description Back cover text This book, which is considered one of the greatest confessions in 20th century literary history, is actually a letter that never reached kafka's owner. Franz kafka meets and gets engaged with julie wohryzek, a prague secretary, in schelesen, where he went to relax in 1919. The letter to father expresses the author's feelings and thoughts towards his father who opposed this marriage decision, while on the other hand, it also provides us with clues from kafka's life story. Franz kafka's writing, with its details related to its own existence, also carries a documentary quality when compared to his other works based on fantasy stories. The letter to father, which emerged from the conflict between father and son, is actually kafka's resentment towards the strong and powerless concepts that determine bourgeois societies.
