Hep Kitap Yıldız ve Tuz Haritası

Product description

I think people lose more than they can get back: a three-room house, twenty-five centimeters of hair, a whole color.

But no one says.

Does it get easier to live with loss if you don't name it? On the one hand, Raviye, who disguises herself as a man and embarks on a difficult journey as an apprentice to one of the most important cartographers in history.

On the other hand, Nur, who tells her beautiful story.

Nur, who defines the world with colors, who whispers her story to the roots of the fig tree in the garden, who moved with her family from America to Syria after the death of her father, but who tries to survive in different geographies after a bomb falls on her house.

The Star and the Salt Map is a book that moves between eight centuries ago and the modern day, a book in which the pain of displacement and the triumph of courage constantly resonate.

It is a summary of war-torn Syria and what happened to those who lived in the destroyed houses.
