Product description

The scientific ground for self-knowledge from mind to mind““we produce meaning because we seek meaning.”we have to 'introduce' the person to himself. We have to understand how the mind works, the function of emotions, the use of memory, the classification of experiences through outlines and their understanding by mental categories, and finally their integration as a whole into a story. Only after that we have the opportunity to interpret the qualities of our thoughts and behavior. In this book, etyen mahçupyan addresses how the mind is formed by biological evolution, and finally proposes and grounds a theory on how the mentality is formed and operates by cultural evolution. From the fundamental question of whether a quality similar to the function of genetic memory occurs in the process of cultural evolution, he opens up the discussion of the existence of such a quality and its definition as 'mentalism'. “can a person know himself by thinking about himself? In the era of infinite credits that open to conscious thought, the answers to this question will probably be positive. However, although they are the main determinants of decisions and behaviors, when we take into account the subconscious and mental categories that a person is not even aware of, the answer should be: 'no, a person cannot know himself by thinking about himself, because only other people who establish a relationship with him can show him his subconscious and mentality. In a world where consciousness and thought are shown as independent variables and are blessed, etyen mahçupyan demonstrates the subconsciousness of the first. The second describes how the mentality is surrounded, and points out the main categories we need to focus and calculate for a more mature sociality. In the past few centuries, the deepening of scientific expertise has caused those seeking answers to questions about self-knowledge and understanding to remain unaware of each other. This book brings together neuroscience and social psychology, opening the door to understanding human beings. While tracing the biological and cultural adaptation in connection with the light of scientific knowledge, it proposes a holistic framework to understand human beings, and reveals the relationship between mind and mentality, enabling us to understand the function of our emotions, thoughts and behaviors.
