What is the cevsen prayer that names this necklace?
The cevşen prayer is a powerful and comprehensive supplication made by our prophet (peace be upon him) to almighty god, using a thousand names.
For a detailed explanation about cevsenü'l-kebîr, see __t3__.
About cevşen necklace
In islam, there are such things as reading, wearing and blowing blessed prayers for the sick, and it is true.__t5__
There is no blemish in carrying an amulet in which only verses or the names and attributes of allah are written, believing that the influence and healing is from allah. (sunan-i darimi)__t6__
According to the narration from the grandfather of amr b. shuayb (ra), the resulullah (peace be upon him) said:
"i seek refuge in the complete words of allah from the wrath and punishment of allah, the mischief of his servants, the whispers of the devils, and their approach to me. in this case, nothing will harm him. abdullah b. amr reminds his intelligent child of this prayer. for the little children who cannot read, he would write it on a piece of paper and hang it around his neck. (tirmidhi)"
From hz. ali (ra) and hz. from hüseyin (ra):
"i heard from our prophet (pbuh). one day he was going to mount uhud even though he was wearing his armor. the weather was very hot. aleyhissalatu was said to our lord.
"i looked up to the sky and prayed. the gates of the sky opened. jibril (as) came down even though he was filled with lights. he said:__t7__"
“greetings and salutations from god almighty, and i have brought you a gift of sustenance.”__t8__
I received the greetings of ta'zim. jibril (as) said:__t9__
"take off this armor, recite this prayer. if you carry and recite this prayer, it will have a greater effect than armor."
The prophet (pbuh) asked jibril-i emin:__t11__
Is the effect and sensitivity of this prayer only for me? or is it also for my nation? jibril (as) said:__t12__
"o messenger of allah! no one knows the reward of this prayer except allah, the almighty." (cevşen meali)__t13__
As understood from the hadiths, there is no harm in wearing a cevşen (including those in the form of a necklace) by paying attention to our intention.__t14__
