It is an antibiotic medicine used to treat certain skin infections such as impetigo (red sores), recurring boils, and others.

It works by killing certain bacteria.

This helps to improve your symptoms and cure the underlying infection.

Mupirocin is a naturally occurring antibiotic that displays a broad-spectrum activity against many gram-positive bacteria and certain gram-negative bacteria in vitro.

It primarily works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
