The butterfly plant, Syngonium 'Pixie,' is a hybrid that was developed for its vivid leaves colors and ease of cultivation.

Other names for synthesiums include arrowhead vine, arrowhead plant, and arrowhead philodendron.

Syngonium is a good background plant that reaches a maximum height of about 12 inches.

These plants grow best in bright, indirect light and tolerate low-to-medium light levels.

They dislike being in the sun's direct light.
