In the last years of his long life, he handed over the notes he had written for his professional training on physical geography and pedagogy, and tasked him to select and compile the loose pages in his second notes, which he thought could be useful to readers. He began working a year before the death of rink kant, in 1803, and published his notes on education. The courses are not intended, it seems, to offer neither exhaustive educational theory notes nor well-formulated philosophical principles based on metaphysical psychological or sociological data. Kant's area at the university of königsberg was on logic and metaphysics, but during his time as both a professor and a privatdozent (private lecturer) he also included a series of auxiliary lectures in the area. In the last quarter of the eighteenth century, pedagogy was included as a course at the university, and some professors took it as a training to be able to teach on this area. When he came to the task of teaching, he used as a symbolic guide the book of his colleague, prof. bock, “ueber die erziehungskunst (königsberg 1780)” as a procedure, instead of taking a standard textbook on the subject, as he was used to when he was at the beginning of the kant. But kant did not allow the lecture on this book to override the original and constructive functioning. Indeed, there was no trace of bock in these notes.
