Product Q&As
How is it used?
Answer from OsseusMedikal
How to Prepare EDS? Materials: One 20 CC lock-injector, thin feeding probe and plaster. Preparation of Milk: The injector is filled with warm expressed breast milk or formula. Insertion of the tube: the colored end of the probe is inserted into the injector. The other end lines up just at the tip of the nipple. Fixation: The tube is gently attached to the skin with a plaster to fix the nipple and probe; the end of the tube should remain 1-2 mm outside the nipple or flush with the nipple. How to Use EDS? Breastfeeding Position: In the classic breastfeeding position, the baby's mouth is brought close to the breast so that it can properly latch onto the nipple (areola). Taking the Mouth: When the baby grasps the breast, the thin tube also enters the baby's mouth along with the nipple. Flow Control: As the baby sucks, they begin to swallow the milk coming from the injector. Attention is paid to the fact that the flow rate is not too fast or too slow. Things to Pay Attention to Hygiene: After each use, the probe and injector should be thoroughly cleaned with hot water and sterilized. Flow Rate: The number that matches the baby's sucking ability should be chosen.
