Everest Yayınları Optik Sinir

Product description

Don't you think all theories are also autobiographies? eleven moments from the world and life of eleven painters and an argentine art critic. The narrator of the optical nerve can understand himself, his experiences, his past and present through the relationship he has established with the art of painting.

The stories of the paintings and painters he visited in the museums of buenos aires are his story: the fate of the paintings made by cándido lópez in the war. Rothko's refusal to deliver the murals he had painted for a luxury hotel at the very last minute. A bizarre, nightmarish carnival scene sketched by catalan artist josep maria sert, depicting the errázuriz mansion belonging to the family of the narrator. Picasso's banquet in honor of henri rousseau and the unconfessed bond between them and some of his paintings, along with many other scenes from art history... each of these corresponds to moments from the narrator's life: moments of love, distance, and break-up in his relationship with his family who belong to the upper class in argentina, separations, fears, deaths, and the unique time of chemotherapy rooms. The novel optic nerve, which is translated into many foreign languages and loved by art critic maría gainza, invites readers to mirror games that show art and life together with an autobiography language. You say that your imagination is still an ally and that you can entertain yourself quite well with what you have accumulated in your mind. You hop on the bus, then get off and walk through the museum's entrance, heading straight for whichever painting calls to you at that moment.

this is both cheap and simple. You're as familiar with some of the works in this museum, the books in its library, or the plants in its garden.
