Everest Yayınları Hikâyenin Sonu

Product description

No matter how we steer, the shadow of what we used to do and who we once were follows us, relentlessly. Juan belmonte lives a simple life on the southern coast of chile, far from the burden of the past. However, his experience as a former guerrilla and agent occasionally casts him in the shadow of the past. One day, he's forced to re-engage with a phone call: this time, the case involves someone who once served in the pinochet army, and who later was convicted and imprisoned. Belmonte also has personal reasons to hate this torturer, who was of kazakh descent and served in ss units during world war ii. The end of the story is a striking political thriller novel by luis sepúlveda, which masterfully combines individual history with political memory, the dark periods of latin america with the traces of the russian revolution. Belmonte looked at the mountains, waiting without seeing them. The only thing that came to mind was like photos in a lost album, they appeared one after another and all of them had veronica. That morning, she sensed he was approaching her at a political rally beneath the leafy trees of a park, and she knew he didn't want to leave.

in the evening, he took her face between his hands, brought it closer until he touched her red lips, and realized that love is possible.
