Product description
In the summer of 1929, ataturk, who was traveling from istanbul to bursa, was very impressed by the huge, green cypress tree he saw on the beach near yalova and requested a house to be built next to it. Upon this request, a small pavilion was immediately built and atatürk started spending his summer months there. The following year, as the branches of the catalpa tree grew longer, when it touched the corner, the gardener decided to cut the branches. Seeing this, ataturk took a stand and found a very surprising solution: to relocate the pavilion! So was this possible? Researcher and writer i̇lknur güntürkün kalıpçı explains this interesting event in history to children in a fairy tale-like language and highlights the love of atatürk and nature.
