Product description

The new moon fox is a narrative woven from lived experiences. We have a novel in our hands that examines how intercommunal conflicts emerged towards the end of the british colonial period in cyprus and what veins feed today's tense political conditions.

the main character of the novel, which seeks to shed light on its recent past, tries to uncover the social anthropological layers while tracing the roots of social transformation.

The cypriot author metin murat, who greets readers with his first novel, includes the stories of women who have won their lives despite or perhaps despite men, and those who have been pushed out of society, whose lives and freedoms are at risk simply because they want to live their sexuality freely.

The new moon fox, blending the contrasts and contradictions unique to the levant with a clear, strong and fluent style, expresses its cultural identity, which is at risk of extinction due to its diversity and colorfulness, through concepts such as courage, otherness, and hybridity.
