Lugol's solution 5% | 2x100 ml | Glass dropper bottle (pharma grade lugol's iodine tincture) is a medication and disinfectant used for various purposes, obtained by dissolving potassium iodide with iodine element in water. Orally administered, it is used in the treatment of thyrotoxicosis until surgery, to protect the thyroid gland from radioactive iodine, and to treat iodine deficiency.
