Product description

A room of one's own is based on a series of lectures given by virginia woolf at newnham college and girton college, two women's colleges at the university of cambridge in october 1928. This feminist work discusses the place of female writers in the literary field, where matriarchism prevails, and seeks answers to some questions: why are girls not given the same educational opportunities as their brothers? Why is the literature on women almost exclusively written by men? If shakespeare had a sister as talented as him, could she be as successful? What do women need to be artistically active? The answer to this question: economic but above all intellectual independence. Virginia woolf is symbolized by women having their own room, and this thought-provoking and equally impressive work allows us to see women's literature from a woman's perspective.
