Dipnot Yayınları Self-Construction Tension

Product description

The main plot that emerged in the writings that constitute this compendium is an ancient structural problem of marxism, an internal tension: this tension, which can be expressed with dualities such as structure-substance, objectivity-subjectivity, determinism-will, existence-consciousness, continues to maintain its importance on the agenda of marxism and, more generally, critical social theories today.

In addition, in theories that can be called liberators, radicals or leftists, while pursuing the objectivity of social structures, a general understanding of history and the principle of subjectivity, randomness/ignorability and tichelism against collective essences, it is possible to detect that these trends have lost their reputation compared to a decade ago, and that theoretical searches that will pave the way for liberation policies have become more visible.

In the texts you will read, the trace of these tendencies, which have taken their mature form in postmodernist theories, is traced towards structuralism-post-theorists, laclau and mouffe, and althusser. Both lukács and gramsci's problematic theoretical interventions are explored, addressing concepts like class consciousness, materialization, ideology, and hegemony.
