Dipnot Yayınları Haitian Revolution

Product description

The haitian revolution (1791-1804) is one of the most radical, perhaps the most radical of the revolutions.

That radicalism was the first and only revolution in world history

In other words, it is caused by the fact that the blacks, who were kidnapped in africa and sold to europeans, were end, not even recognized as human beings, and subjected to all kinds of violence, exploitation, and discrimination, took their own destiny into their own hands and ended ry.

the haitian revolution, the first anti-colonial independence war in the modern world, is also one of the largest revolutions in world history. The destiny shared by blacks due to their skin color (becoming the main victims of racism, colonialism, and capitalism) began to transform into a universal black consciousness with the haitian revolution. The origins of black internationalism, which will take many forms in the 20th century, are in the haitian revolution. In fact, one of the most important factors behind the concern of colonial powers about ry is - in addition to ry starting to become unprofitable - their concern about the spread of the haitian revolution.

all these reel and potential effects combined lead to the thought that there were significant similarities between the haitian revolution of the 18th century and the cuban revolution of the 20th century. The systematic punishment of independent haiti by its white civilization and the long-term disregard of the revolution by the white thought should also be considered in this context. It is impossible to think of haiti's tragic history before and after the revolution separately from the capitalist, colonialist, and character of the modern world.

we are pleased to present to readers one of the most important and interesting books about this world-historical event with a careful translation.
