Product description

Winter in mumi valley. Everything is quiet and still because the mummies hibernate between november and april. But suddenly, something unexpected happens: on a cold january day, moomin wakes up and can't go back to sleep. At first, mumiş is quite scared and lonely, but gradually discovers a new and cold winter world full of wonderful creatures. He turned his head upwards, watching them descend towards him, more and more, softer, lighter than a feather. "that's how it happens," thought mumiş. I thought it was coming out of the ground too.

” the weather had softened.

nothing but the snow that fell was visible around. Mumish was overcome with the same enthusiasm he felt during those summers, strolling along the seaside and wading in the water. He took off his bathrobe and threw himself on a snowdrift. He thought, "winter!"

“something to love. Tove jansson (1914-2001) was born to a finnish-swedish sculptor father and a swedish illustrator mother. Tove, whose two brothers were also artists, spent her childhood in a bohemian bourgeois environment. The archipelagos in the gulf of finland, where they spent their summers, inspired the environment he depicted in his moomin books. Tove, who always wanted to be an artist, has received education at various art schools in stockholm, helsinki, and paris. In the 1930s and 1940s, he became famous for his caricatures of politicians and the daily life during the war years. In his first mumi book published in 1945, "the mummies and the great flood," he drew upon figures he had previously created for the garm magazine. As the author himself puts it, his writing career began as a hobby, but it gained serious momentum with his first book. the mumi series, which continues with "comet coming," has now expanded to eight books. The third book of the bus series, "the wizard's hat," achieved great success, making it among the famous children's book authors. Mumi books, which have been translated into over fifty languages, have been adapted for theater, cinema, and opera.
