Dergah Yayınları Kemal Tahirle Birlikte - Halit Refiğ

Product description

'For nearly fifty years, Kemal Tahir has been the most powerful influence on my intellectual life. After getting to know him, I was able to more accurately interpret thinkers such as Freud, Marx, Einstein and Eisenstein, with whom I was familiar before him. He gave me the criteria to evaluate Ibn Khaldun, Evliya Çelebi on the one hand, Toynbee and Jung on the other. [...] On a script I was planning to film, he showed me how to approach a person who had fallen into drama, which would be a lesson for my entire professional life. In the early 60s it made me think systematically about the fiasco of westernization in our country. In the second half of the 60s, Turkey also 'began to give weight to the importance of the question of the state...'Halit RefigHalit Refig has many times expressed how much he benefited from Kemal Tahir.
