thank you for understanding.33 revolution is a text written with the weight of being the grandson of a revolutionary, ernesto che guevara, whose fame spread throughout the world, becoming an icon not only in its own geography but across borders, everywhere.

the lines are pouring from the consciousness of a man in his middle age, lonely, lost and weary.

against the backdrop of the repetitive rhythm of a stuck record, we gaze at the hero's uniform everyday life, his boring work life.

this first and only novel of canek sanchez guevara, who died at an early age, describes in an original style the disappointments of a generation that believed in the ideals of the cuban revolution, the suffocating lives of ordinary cubans and the awakening of a young man.

canek sanchez guevara was born in 1974 in havana, struggled against the castro regime in cuba, close to the difficulty of being the grandson of che guevara.

he's always told what to do, what to say and what to do in cuba because of his kinship with a man who became an icon.

democraticism aside, he maintains that cuba has nothing to do with communism from afar. "i am an ambitious man who yearns to be free...

and my freedom only comes to life with your freedom." In 2015, at the age of 40, he dies in mexico.
