Cumhuriyet Kitapları Long-Distance Running - Anılar

Product description

I didn't choose to teach myself.

i didn't have a choice either.

it was important for me to get into a boarding school.

when i was in school, i was one of eight siblings.

the family could not afford to send even one child to school unless they were boarding.

but i loved teaching.

teaching has been the exit point of my long run.

given a choice, i would choose this profession again.

for me, teaching is not just a way of making a living.

the most important resource that nourishes my mental and spiritual world.

without him, i could not have been an organizer, a writer, a public figure, a good friend, a good son, a good brother, a good father.

i owe him big time after all.

the basis of my understanding of trade unionism is to conduct trade unionism with pedagogy without sacrificing each other, and to make a rational synthesis between them.

my friends and i got along well with it.

our past organizing has sacrificed pedagogy to ideology at times.

i guess this orientation of ours has positively affected other business areas as well.

instead of punching the table, we brought out wits and knowledge. We always kept in mind that the rights of children and families come before ours. Because, we were there for them and took it as our core principle to protect the right of children to education and the dignity of teachers for this.

actually that is what the union strength is based on.

today, 25 million students, at least 50 million leaning on the family elder, is our success the greatest chance.

i can't help but recommend today's young unionists to follow this understanding for success.
