CAN The Age of Reason

Product description

The life story of jean-paul sartre, one of the most unique voices of the 20th century, a french writer and thinker, can be described as a collection of consecutive denials. Sartre rejected god, all established orders, the family by the way, the classic definition of a writer, philosopher, action man, countless friendships, parties, stereotyped thoughts, and also rejected the nobel prize in literature awarded in 1964. The novel series called paths of freedom, which has a very important place among sartre's literary works, consists of three books. The first two of these three novels, published between 1945-1949, display the overturn caused by the second world war with their meaningful differences.

In the first book of the series, which the author completed in 1941, in the age of reason, concerns about comprehending the limited and introverted lives of several individuals who both seek and flee themselves amidst the “deceptive optimism” of 1937-1938 are expressed.
