description:Oblomov is one of the important works published in 1859 and marked the 19th century, and it was also highly discussed by his contemporaries.

It reveals the internal world and spiritual dissolution of i̇lya i̇lyiç oblomov, a landowner who spends most of his days lying down, dreaming, making plans but unable to realize any of them, while also drawing a panorama of the social and historical changes in russia.

&nbsp

Roman navigates the contrast between oblomov, writhing in the grip of inertia, and his childhood friend stolts, who desperately tries to free him from that inertia and bring him into the outside world.Against the backdrop of this individual conflict, the transformations of 19th-century russia are depicted, a time when aristocracy was declining and the bourgeoisie was ascending.Oblomov's state of being is more than just a simple laziness or indecision

oblomov is resisting the changing spirit of the times because the world he knows is changing rapidly.

&nbsp

The concept of "oblomovism," or the "oblomovian," that goncharov introduced to literature with this novel, symbolizes not only individual weaknesses like laziness and the habit of constant procrastination, but also represents those who are standing up to the changing tide.
