CAN Küçük Kara Balık

Product description

Samed Behrengi (1939-1968) was an Iranian writer.

He worked as a teacher for eleven years, traveling from village to village in the Azerbaijan region of Iran.

Even as a teacher, he did not stop being a student: He compiled, interpreted and rewrote fairy tales and myths that circulated in the language of the people.

In the meantime, he studied English at the University of Tabriz.

In September 1968, when he was only 29 years old, he was found dead on the banks of the Aras River.

Although rumors spread that he drowned while swimming, no one believed it.Because Samed Behrengi, with the tales he wrote, was openly criticizing the Shah's regime that had taken over his country and was against all kinds of oppression. Little Black Fish is an immortal book that made him known and loved not only in Iran but also in many countries of the world. This little book received awards at the Bratislava and Bologna World Children's Book Fairs. We are reading this beautiful children's story, which everyone from seven to seventy will love to read, in a new translation.
