CAN A Story of A Missing

Product description

"after starting his career as a writer with newspaper and news agency reporting, since the 1960s, colombian nobel prize-winning great writer gabriel garcia marquez has been re-telling the history of latin america in his novels and stories with his unique magical realism style, as if he is on a quest for an identity for all latin america. pablo escobar, the drug lord who terrorized colombia for years, describes his process of surrendering to justice in order to escape the hands of his mortal enemy, the other cartels, and on the other hand, he describes how he managed to gain bargaining power by missing exactly nine people in his new book called ""the story of a missing person"". in this way, he makes a kind of return to journalism."

Gabriel garcía marquez, who started many of his works from newspaper news, this time, while turning the news into a novel, reveals with great mastery and from the perspective of a journalist what these nine people, all of whom are journalists, their families, their friends, those who abducted and held them hostage, and the officials who carried out the negotiations with escobar, experienced and felt. While examining this dark period of colombia, he sheds light on the realities of his country from a different perspective. We would like to proudly declare that we are one of the first few countries to publish this edition of the story of a snatch in a second language other than the language in which it was written, spanish.
