Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Yayınevi Ben Neyim? Kişiler ve İnsanlar Üzerine Bir Çalışma-Korunaklı Poşetle

Product description

Who am i? Is it the collection of a life story? If we have to abandon our endeavors that we consider indispensable, will i continue to exist as myself? But what if one day we get alzheimer's and gradually lose all our intellectual abilities, or if we enter a vegetative state, will we still be able to talk about a 'i'? If one of our brain's hemispheres is transplanted to another, will the 'i' go with it? What happens to us if we turn into a giant insect like gregor samsa from kafka? Who am i? Perhaps he is looking for answers to philosophical questions that we have never asked ourselves.

". "according to the approach i'm trying to defend, the statement ""my first photos are the ones taken while i was in my mother's womb"" will be true." I was that human spirit and then it transformed into a human baby, then into a human puppy, and then into an adult human. If i had an album full of pictures, starting from those who showed me while i was in my mother's womb, to those who showed me as a human in the plant life, all these pictures would be my pictures. When we look at these pictures, what we see is a person. We see it as a team gaining certain features and a team losing other features. The baby loses its characteristic of being a baby and becomes a child, it loses its characteristic of being a student and becomes a teacher, etc.

what remains the same is its identity. While looking at the picture showing his state when he was one year old and the picture showing him graduating from university, we are looking at the same person. Product name: who am i?
