all the stories is an invaluable treasure for hemingway fans. Ernest hemingway, in his english writing, has created a change much greater than any writer living in the twentieth century, therefore he was awarded the nobel prize in literature in 1954.

hemingway writes short, clear sentences, and is known for his terse, forceful style. With "the sun also rises" and "a farewell to arms," hemingway cemented his place among the greatest literary figures of the 20th century. Having worked in fields as diverse as journalism and ambulance driving during world war i, the author would go on to achieve international acclaim in the 1920s as part of a circle of voluntary exiles in paris. Hemingway is fascinated by bullfighting and hunting, and his main characters are men and women who are physically or psychologically damaged, yet brave and determined. In "whose bells are ringing?", we delve into the spanish civil war and even touch upon world war ii. Hemingway, who won the pulitzer prize in 1953 for his classic short story, "the old man and the sea," passed away in 1961.
