Product description

They would either give up what they got or take what they didn't have. An important point was overlooked in the extensive and detailed reflections in the media about america's persistent wars in iraq and afghanistan: another superpower of the western world had faced a similar struggle more than 2,300 years ago. The great alexander and his invincible macedonian army, in the afghan kingdoms, b.c. Starting in 330, they spent three years fighting against a guerrilla-style violent resistance that showed a chilling resemblance to america's current war in iraq and afghanistan.
