Product description
Tally-ho playing cards is one of the most iconic and respected brands in the playing card world, synonymous with excellence, elegance, and superior performance for over a century. first introduced in 1885, these cards have achieved legendary status among professional magicians and cardists, as well as serious card players, thanks to their timeless designs and unmatched quality. the tally-ho brand has been committed to the highest quality standards from the very beginning, and this commitment continues to be evident in every deck produced today. the "circle back" design is one of the brand's most recognizable and beloved patterns. the enduring popularity of this design stems from its seamless blend of aesthetic appeal and functional excellence. its intricate yet orderly circular pattern allows the cards to look both classic and modern, making them suitable for any setting and use.
A hallmark of tally-ho cards is the proprietary "linoid" surface treatment. This special coating gives the cards a unique texture and handling feel. The linoid finish, which has a smoother and linen-like texture compared to the standard air-cushion finish, allows the cards to offer an optimal balance of slipperiness and control. This feature allows the cards to be easily separated and shuffled without sticking together, while also giving the user a complete sense of control during handling. Therefore, tally-ho is considered a worldwide standard for cardistry performances that require particularly delicate manual dexterity and for magic routines that require fluid movements. The cards' flexibility and durability ensure they maintain their shape and performance, even after intense practice sessions and repeated shuffling. This flexibility, known as "snap," helps the cards maintain aesthetic integrity in movements like fanning and spreading.
The design itself is a lesson in elegance and functionality. the "circle back" pattern is a complex network of interwoven circular and wavy lines. this pattern is not only visually captivating, but also serves a practical purpose. its symmetrical structure prevents players from easily discerning whether cards are face up or face down, a critical feature for magicians and poker players. thin white borders give the deck a clean and professional appearance overall, while also helping the pattern create a visual flow when cards are spread out or fanned. the card faces feature a classic and easy-to-read design instantly recognizable to players around the world. the picture cards (jack, queen, king) and aces maintain a traditional aesthetic, offering comfortable use in any card game without causing confusion.
Tally-ho circle back playing cards appeal to a wide audience thanks to their versatility. for professional magicians, the superior handling and reliability these cards offer make them an indispensable tool, even for the most intricate routines. cardists can showcase even the most challenging flourishes with elegance, thanks to the linoid finish's fluidity and the cards' flexible structure. serious poker players and those who host game nights at home enjoy a fair and enjoyable playing experience thanks to tally-ho's durability and classic, unmarked appearance. a symbol of quality, tradition, and reliability, tally-ho is not just a playing tool, but also an expression of the passion for card arts and games.
