Product description

The stories in this book offer a glimpse into the lives of the oppressed, who were exiled and tried to be erased from the geography of suffering within a 50-year period (1937-1987). despite always existing, they were made to appear as if they never were, addressing all the oppression, injustice, and unfairness, experiencing all the suffering, and being ignored. These narratives, recounted based on oral history, do not aim to reopen old wounds that have never healed, nor to relive forgotten pains. It witnesses events that have been hidden from the public, as if they never happened, as if they never existed. As a thinker once said, the best historians are those who carry their childhoods in their pockets. Here, only the period we are living through, his pains, and his longings are witnessed.

the written are, unfortunately, real life stories. Some are as they are, some have been altered by changing the names of people and places, and some have been written as if they were a single story by combining several stories.

kurdish, armenian, syriac, yazidi, alevis.

how many times were they edicts and how many times were they exiled. Who knows how many thousands of years you've been flowing from the same adventure, the same bed, sometimes calm and quiet, sometimes with enthusiasm. How many civilizations, how many cities, how many towns and villages have been established and disappeared.

how many nations, how many people came and went, do you remember from your valleys, o euphrates?
