Babek Yayınları Peri Vadisi Günlükleri

Product description

Perhaps the first thing to say about the book you hold in your hands is that it embodies the first step towards the deep and fascinating world of literature. Şerefnaz altinsoy has fictionalized the dramas, pains, and conflicts of the peri vadisi region, where she was born and raised, with a remarkably simple, natural language and a narrative that draws the reader in. The common ground of all the characters in their stories is the hometowns around fairy creek and its valley, where their heroes were born and had to migrate for various reasons after living for many years. The denial of identity, assimilation, massacre, expulsion, migration, marginalization, imprisonment, torture, and exile, as is the case throughout the kurdish society, form the theme of the stories in the book. As a female author, altinsoy, who unfortunately does not overlook violence against women, which is one of the major problems of our geography in the widest sense, not only of her own society, does not hesitate to criticize her society through a story she includes in her book.

In this book, özcesi şerefnaz altinsoy sheds light on the historical, sociological, and cultural memory of the fairy valley geography, which is being forgotten, made to be forgotten, and obscured day by day, by narrating the events that happened to the people of the region, which he himself experienced or witnessed, and those that are still happening.
