Ayrıntı Yayınları Zeyn'in Düğünü

Product description

It is said that zeyn was the first person to step out of the mother's womb, laughing at the world.

it has been like this throughout his life. It only has two teeth in its mouth, one on the upper palate and one on the lower palate. However, according to his mother, his mouth was once filled with pearly white teeth. Zeyn's face is long, with prominent cheekbones, jaw and under eyes, his forehead is open and round, his eyes are tiny and always red... his eye sockets are sunken like two caves, his face is completely hairless. It has a very long neck, that's why children always call it a giraffe.

the back is slightly hunched, and the legs are long and slender like crane legs. Zeyn, who doesn't like to wear shoes, has flat feet full of scars and remembers the story of each scar separately. Zeyn's wedding takes place in the same village on the upper nile where tayeb salih's previously published masterpiece, migration season, takes place.

what happens in the town is no different from the tensions that occur in any community, anywhere in the world.

it is the clash of the poor and the rich, modern and traditional, religious and secular.

a whole world is left to the reader's own construction of the scene and reality. The human tone that reveals tayeb salih's creativity is ready to settle right in the heart of the reader.
